COOKIE POLICY

Phillip Island Auto Racing Club Ltd (PIARC) - Effective 1 May 2025

Last reviewed: April 2025

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how their site is used. In addition to traditional cookies, similar technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags, local storage, and session storage may also be used to collect information about your browsing behaviour. This policy covers all such technologies and refers to them collectively as 'cookies'. Cookies are not programs and cannot carry viruses or install malware on your device. They simply store small pieces of text that help a website recognise your browser on return visits.

2. How PIARC Uses Cookies

The PIARC website at piarc.com.au uses cookies for a limited and specific set of purposes. Because PIARC is a not-for-profit motorsport club and not a commercial e-commerce platform, our use of cookies is minimal. We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioural profiling, or cross-site tracking. Specifically, we use cookies to: 1. keep you logged in during an active session on the Website; 2. remember your preferences between visits (such as notification settings); 3. understand, at an aggregate level, how visitors navigate the Website so we can improve it; and 4. ensure the security and integrity of the Website and your account. PIARC does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or any cookies designed to build a profile of your browsing habits across other websites.
